Yes I did. I dropped my contact lens on the blue carpet of the hotel floor and never recovered it, so I spent two whole days squinting like One-Eyed Pete.
I was in Novato, California for four days, training for my summer teaching job. On the last day of training, my sister Katie flew in and we spent the weekend in San Francisco. The weather was unbelievable and we had the best time. We drove across the Golden Gate Bridge. We figured out BART. We walked along Pier 39 and loved the sea lions. We ate clam chowder in sourdough bread bowls. We rode the Powell Hyde cable car through the city. We went shopping in Union Square. We saw Lombard Street. We got a ride in a rickshaw. We got lost in Chinatown. We had the hotel pool and hot tub all to ourselves. We took a ferry around Alcatraz. We drank hot chocolate at Ghirardelli's. And we loved it all.

Okay, this post seriously made me jealous!! I love San Francisco and everything if offers. Especially cookie sundaes at Ghirardelli's. Yum!!
Well at least you saw HALF of everything well...I HATE losing contacts. I brought two RIGHT contacts on tour...lucky for me I had ONE lefty but still...I had to be REALLY careful (different prescriptions you see). Glad you had a GREAT time!! I miss seeing you guys...we SERIOUSLY have to get together...SOON!!
So jealous! I grew up there in the bay area and miss seeing all those places so bad! I'm so glad you were able to do and see so many things! And the weather looked GREAT!

So fun!! That would be a great little vacation to have. I love that your sister got to go...there's nothing like taking a little trip with a sister, it's so fun. And the contact thing is hilarious...that's why I always pack an extra pair of contacts, I'm prone to those sorts of mistake tooo!
TOO BAD ABOUT THE CONTACT LENS! I love San Francisco. That whole list of things you did makes me want to visit again. Glad you two enjoyed it.

I second Casey. I want to be in San Francisco right now! I've only been there once, far too long ago. Fun pictures! I'm excited to hear about you summer job...4-5 year olds can be fun I promise. I love the little ones.
